Shane Filan has celebrated his birthday in style this weekend, taking himself and his family off to the luxurious Adare Manor for some downtime.

Turning 42 earlier this month, the Westlife singer shared some snaps of himself and his family enjoying their mini staycation. Kicking things off with a romantic dinner with his wife, Shane shared a snap of Gillian looking glamorous as ever in a floral dress and matching basket bag.

Going on to talk about other highlights from the weekend, Shane shared a picture of himself and Gillian with their three children – Nicole, Patrick, and Shane JR.

During their family dinner night Shane said he was served the nicest steak he’s ever had:

“Nicest steak I’ve ever had & even got to pick my own steak knife! 1st time for everything,” he said.

The next day Shane was up bright and early for a spot of golfing followed by a well-deserved pint of Guinness. Sharing how much he enjoyed his special weekend Shane shared a final series of snaps along with the caption:

“Finished off a lovely birthday weekend playing 18 incredible holes with my 4 ball” “& topped it off with a surprise personalised pint.  It really is a special place!”

Commenting on what an incredible weekend it looks like the family had, one fan said

“It really looks like you had an amazing birthday week”

“Wow it is the best place to be for sure” said another.

While Adare Manor itself took to the comment section to wish Shane a great birthday:

“Happiest of Birthdays from all of us at Adare Manor”
